We are Willem and Yvonne Idema and live with our daughter Esmée in Julianadorp (in the North-West of the Netherlands). After having bred Great Danes successful for many years we have changed some years ago to the Standard - and Toy poodle in the colors white and black. The poodle race has won our love entirely. Our poodles spend the largest part of the day in our home, living together with us and our cats. Given the balanced character of the poodle this is absolutely no problem. The beauty of the poodle together with the pleasant character, unconditional friendship and intelligence make this race ideal to live with. This compensates totally the extra care grooming the beautiful coat takes. We select our parent animals and breeding-combinations with care, not only on external factors, but also in an important degree on character and health. In our breeding-program we don't rely on our own judgment alone. We regularly attend dog shows an agility-tests with the parent-animals. Only the dogs which endure both these tests with brilliance qualify for our breeding-program. Moreover we give great care in choosing the parent-dogs with the right parents and grandparents. Our dogs descend from the best American, German and Scandinavian breeding lines with as proof numberless national- and international champions on their pedigrees. For those reasons we only have a limited number of puppies, which we sell with the necessary care to dog lovers who make a well-thought-out choice for a poodle with quality, a good character and a very well health. As we have a small kennel we can prepare the pups in an optimal way for their new owners, in physical care (feeding, medical care, first grooming) and socialization, in which we can take account to your wishes.
